NEW WORLD

‘We’re lost.’

‘What do you mean, “we’re lost”?’ demanded Steph, her dark eyes blazing.

‘Well, we’re not where we’re supposed to be,’ replied Nathan, studying the compass and forest map. ‘That’s strange…’ He gave the compass a shake. ‘The needle’s pointing the wrong way. ’

‘Great!’ exclaimed Steph. ‘Now the compass is broken.’

‘No, it isn’t broken. It’s as if the North Pole has disappeared!’

‘Hey, guys!’ cried Joseph, beckoning his friends over to a clearing among the trees. “You should see this…

“Watch out for that bear behind the tree”, warned Steph. “Don’t worry about me - try to figure a way out of here.” yelled Nathan. ‘Okay’ replied Steph as she climbed a huge tree. “Look I can see something, it’s shiny.” “What is it?’ yelled Nathan from below. ‘It’s getting closer and closer… I don’t know what it is.”

‘Try and touch it.’ ‘I’ll try’, replied Steph….Silence….‘Steph… Steph, where are you?’

No answer. He tried again as he saw the giant gold mysterious object float past slowly. Nathan jumped as high as he could and touched what he thought was Steph’s hand. To his surprise, Steph pulled Nathan to the centre of the gold mysterious object. Nathan soon realised it was just a big gold bubble.  They rose, leaving the others on the ground staring, open-mouthed. As Steph realised where they were heading she yelled out with joy ‘NEXT LEVEL!’ ‘Food planet here we come!’ shouted Nathan.

To their surprise food planet was unexpectedly full of ugly-looking insects. ‘What do we do Nathan?’

Hungrily Nathan started grabbing the gummy bears and chocolate covered marshmallows he took a huge gulp and, “STOP!” Shouted Steph. Don't you think this is strange? “What is strange?” Asked Nathan. “All this food, I mean their can't be a whole world made of candy, can there?” “ Just eat! This food is delicious!” “How about the talking insects that is very strange, and the way the butterfly winked at me.” “Don't be so bossy Steph! I'm starving we havn't eaten anything for the past three days” “Yes we have” Yelled Steph. “Chewing on grass, and choking on bark isn't eating!” “Well I'm sorry for trying to stay alive!” “Well why don't you just do your think and I'll do mine” “Alright fine then”

The bugs stood there staring at the two juicy looking children. No one has ever fought in 'Sugar Land', this tasty looking female human has started this fight, the insects started arguing about who gets to eat the girl first, since she's the one who started the fighting in 'Sugar Land'. Suddenly they all got quiet a big shadow cast over the land, and a giant lady bug gracefully flew and gently landed on a petal. Silence, I have no time to discuss this so lets just make a plan. Beetles, caterpillars and worms go together and follow the female beast. Snails, Cockroaches and Butterflies go after the juicy looking male. The rest of you get back to work!

Then Steph said

“They really aren’t poisoned.”

“You can never be too sure!” said Nathan.

“Didn’t you see? The butterfly just ate it, I don’t care, I don’t want to starve in this peculiar place. It creeps me out!

“Oh fine then kill your self, I don’t care.”

So Steph took a deep breath and dived head first in the candy floss clouds down below.

“See, all safe, I took a massive gulp immediately I dived in.”

As soon as she came back out of the candy floss clouds, Nathan couldn’t believe his eyes!!!

Her body was as delicate as butterfly’s wing and as immense as a prehistoric mammoth!

Nathan was in shock and didn’t know who or what made this happen. But he had a slight idea that it was the candy floss.

Immediately he chased after the butterfly. But sooner or later he was going to catch the butterfly and question it and find out who or what caused this havoc.

Still shaken from Steph’s flight of fancy into the clouds, transformed by the vicious bugs, a giant pearly butterfly glittering in the sparkly blinking beams of sunlight, all thoughts of her friend dissolved into nothing, Nathan was not to be spared another blow to his already shattered soul. Suddenly, an immense fire leapt out from silent space, like the Big Bang, instead this time destruction and pain was born instead of humanity and hope…
The fire engulfed all the land including Nathan! However, somehow he wasn’t even scraped. He stood up and surveyed the area, it was completely different. Sweets disappeared and everything turned into a barren wasteland. All the beautiful sweet trees turned into terrifying twiggy monstrosi-trees, all the luscious green lime flavoured sweet grass vanquished into desolate duvet of dust.
In front of him was a enormous shaped cave and a voice came out…”

"What happened here?" yelled a grumpy bear. He let out a roar which made several several twiggy monstrosities break apart.
Suddenly the bear pushed Nathan into the dusty groud. Nathan's face was filled with dust. "Sorry! I didn't cause this," Nathan said in a high voice. He was shaking, then he covered his eyes. The bear held his sharp claws in the air. "STOP!" shouted a mysterious figure. It was a hooded man. "Who dares to tell me to stop!" roared the bear. "Maybe you want to join in!" Then the man pulled out a knife and swiped the bear. "Do you know who I am?" the bear yelled. "I am the protector of this world!" The swipe did not even make a mark. "I am strong, immortal, and fast!" "You are dead!"
"I will distract him and you run north," the hooded man said while handing Nathan a necklace. Nathan can see part of the candy and sweets remaining on the ground. "Where is Steph?" he questioned. "There is a portal if you break the necklace in half when you reach the relic up north," said the hooded man. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" asked Nathan while looking at the man mysteriously.
The man didn't answer, but instead he pointed in one direction. Nathan zoomed in a fast pace. An arm grabbed her foot. It looked familiar. It was Steph. Her face was half dusty. "I heard what the said," she said quietly. "Let's just get out of this place!" They both run, dodging tree, jumping over many rocks. "It's over there!" they both yelled.
"Nathan! Break it!" exclaimed Steph. He broke the necklace. Everything went dark. "Steph!" he yelled. Nathan was at his bed holding a broken necklace. "It wasn't a dream..." he whispered.
