Friday Story 1 - Robert Muchamore

Paul rinsed the lather out of his hair and almost slipped on the tiles as raced to his bedroom, wrapped in a towel. He jolted with fright as he noticed a man running across the lawn towards his bedroom window. The man was huge, dressed in a visor and black body armour. Paul opened his mouth to scream, but before he got a chance the front door was kicked violently from its hinges and the glass in the patio doors shattered. Men were shouting and running into the house...

They stormed in with their guns blazing showing no signs of mercy. As they leaped up the stairs I was getting more frightened by the second. As I dived into the closet and shut the doors I squeezed my eyes shut hoping that I was only dreaming. But then I realised that this was no dream, it was reality. I tried to stay silent as I threw clothes over me to try and hide but it wasn’t working until I had every piece of clothing I owned on top of me. I was gaining more anxiety thinking what they would do to me if they caught me, I was petrified. I heard them getting closer the steps were getting louder. I didn’t want to die I still had my whole life ahead of me. I was trying to calm my breathe so that I could hear them more fluent. I heard them kick a door of the hinges but I couldn’t make out which door it was. I felt like making a last resort dash to the window but i knew that they would hear me. So I stayed put. But I decided that I had no other choice I could stay in the closet and risk getting caught or.........

The gun fire stopped and i heard silent whispers which stopped me in mid thought, I heard footsteps coming towards me. I held my breath hoping they wouldnt find me, then i realised they where in the room, there was a slight gap inbetween the closet doors I looked out of the gap and took a headcount "1...2...3..." I couldnt leave without getting shot. I slipped on the clothes underneath my feet... they heard me. they opened the door and said "Is your name Paul?".....

He stood in silence he felt like thousands of things were whizzing through his mind, he was so confused why were these people in his home, did he have something that they wanted? He repeated “Is your name Paul” he lied he said “no”. He had sweat breaking out and rolling from his forehead and under his arms what did they want with him?
He thought about it he said “yes what do you want?”
“ I want one thing and I know that you have it in your possession.”
What were these men on about, they must be after someone else? But they knew his name was this really in reality...

"What do you want with me" he said. "Just give me the crystal and we will
leave" the man said. "I dont seem to know what you're talking about you
*^%^* ". "for saying that laddie you're going in the dissolving acid" the
man yelled. " The what am I going in?" Paul asked. " the dissolving acid".
All of a sudden, Paul kicked him and grabbed the gun which he had dropped
and shot all the men in the room and then ran. Paul checked the gun, It
was a klobb, A sub machine gun. A van was outside with a man in. Paul
easily dealt with him. He lept into the van and drove away into the
sunset. When he had reached the border of Scotland he dumped the van in a
river and left for the nearest town. He hadn't releized it yet but he was
a mass murderer on the loose. he wandered to the nearest town and saw his
face on wanted signs around town nailed onto posts. Suddenly someone
spotted him and reached for their mobile but Paul was to quick. He pulled
out the Klobb and shot the woman five times between the eyes. Instantly
Paul ran from the town and made a hideout miles from anywhere. Before he
had left the van he found a rope, a first aid kit and a knife....

He ran. He didn’t know what to do. He knew there was only one of him and there could be hundreds of them. Suddenly he heard a loud explosion... he couldn’t see anyone but he could hear them and it all happened, just when he thought he had got rid of them. He ran back to the place where he had killed the other men and didn’t know what do. He felt a mixture of feelings all in one, he sat down on the floor and started to cry. Then in the dark a spy women came along with a red and black leather suit. It was love at first sight, his heart was in a fantasy world and his head was in the clouds.
She had black straight hair, she looked wonderful he went up to her and hugged her. She was going to help him he was sure of it!
Then she said with the most wonderful voice “I’m not here for the lovey-dovey thing, I’m here to help” Something was coming this way...

He woke up in a cold sweat. He yawned and looked up at the ceiling, relief flowed through him. He had been so worried that it had all been so real, but in the cold hard light of day it seemed as if fortunately it had all been a dream. He stretched and loosened his stiff muscles. Wondering what the time was, he turned towards his alarm clock on the other side of the bed, but something wasn't right. His alarm clock wasn't where it should be, in fact this wasn't his bedroom. And on top of that there was a figure lying in the bed next to him, he sat up in horror and pulling back the bed sheets he revealed the body of the leather clad spy that he had fallen in love with. With a gasp of shock he sat transfixed as the spy's arm flopped lifelessly off the side of the bed.....

When he saw the spy was dead he jumped out of the bed, and looked around for his knife to see if he had killed her. He couldn’t find his knife, so he looked back at the spy, and saw the knife was in her neck. He searched the spy and he saw a phone in her lifeless hand and it was recording a video, and he replayed the video and saw him self talking to her, then the spy mentioned something that scared him and something started glowing in his head, it had a shape of a crystal. Then the glow turned dark and he killed her in a second. He was scared, and some thing started glowing in his head for real this time. He started losing control of his body, he destroyed the phone. He turned to the side he saw the spy and burned her to ashes using certain hand signs. Suddenly he bristled tails grew out his butt. The tails was not real; they were just energy he started to evolve. He grew foxes ears it was energy again and a mask took over his face but it was real, then everything went blank…

Paul woke up the next morning with a puzzled memory of what transpired the night before. He then found blood splatters and a hunting knife on the bed. Next he stepped off of the bed and felt a cold, soft material on his bare foot. As he looked down, he found ashes and remembered the gruesome act that he did to the spy. In the terrible situation, he was shocked and confused of his own anguish! He then turned on the television and saw the picture of the beautiful spy. Then suddenly, Paul heard a booming knock at the door. Paul slowly walked down the quiet stairs trying to imagine who it could be. When he finally opened the door, there stood two, tall men at the door in white uniforms. After a while, he realized they were policemen. Surprised, he said, "Good morning gentlemen. How may I help you?" Then the cops looked at him and said, "Can we ssee your residence? We have a warrant." He showed Paul the piece of paper. "Come on in," he said, slipping the knife into his pocket. "Okay," they said walking in. The police were going upstairs and when they did, Paul stabbed one leaving the other in shock. The End.
