I put my goldfish on the floor

He isn't very fit

He only did ten sit ups

Then lay still, that was it

I put my hamster in the wash

He's getting rather smelly...

He flopped out to the floor
But he has a nice clean belly

My guinea pig sat on my boat
In the paddling pool it sunk
He swam for a few strokes
And under he went with a clunk

It was time to walk my donkey
Along the sea front blue

While the donkey was walking along the sea front blue,

He saw a hamster go down the loo.

But the donkey wanted to boil it,

The lass couldn't fit through the flat,

But the rat went up to the bat.

She was a beast,

And had a midnight feast.

She went to KFC,

But after needed a cup of tea.

She lay in bed all day,

Could you imagine her as a miad?

She ate all the food,

Because she was in a bad mood.

As the goldfish lay on the floor

A cat came through the window

The cat was playing

As the fish was lying

The cat pounced

The fish bounced

Into its trap hole

Then a mouse crept out of his hole

or was it a mole lying flat like a pole?

Whatever he was he wanted in on the action

even if it was only just a small fraction.

He crept and he slid down the hallway alone

Keen as a dog chasing a bone

The Mouse saw what had been done and clearly the cat had won.

As the cat lay there as silent as a mouse

more trouble entered the house.

When the owner saw the cat

she ordered him to get rid of that rat.

The mouse was offended that he was called a rat

and turned and cried to his best friend, the cat.

But the cat had everything to lose

so he decided to give the mouse a bruise.

Round around the house the chase went

til the mouse got tired and hid in the air vent.

The cat had lost to a mouse and wasn’t happy

because he was the one who lived in that house.

And he wasn’t going to lose to some tiny Mouse.

So back to the couch went the cat went

and waited for the mouse to leave the air vent.
