If I told you, you would probably say it was a blessing. But you have no idea. It's a curse way beyond the meaning of the word.

People always think they want to know the future. They think life is brighter over the horizon.

But when I tell you what I've seen...when I tell you what tomorrow actually means, you'll wish the world stopped turning right now.

I mean this very second...

The world suddenly seemed so different. I felt like I had been thrown in a bag and shaken. It didn’t seem real.

It was a pink version of hell.

A grotesque being sat upon a massive throne, a smirk on its evil face, its eyes dark with hatred, it opened its mouth and…

…growled, “Welcome to my world of hell!”

As he looked down upon his slaves, the ground shook at the sound of his ferocious, furious, hacking, piercing voice. The slaves fell to their knees in absolute terror as the silence in the air echoed loudly…

...in the great hall, rebounding off the walls. The slaves terrified by their master's anger quickly retreated into side doors. The figure rose to his giant feet and strode towards them. He had great curling horns which rose to the rafters and his recently hidden face came into view. The face if you could call it a face had coal black eyes and gaunt cheeks and rotten scars with blood dripping down like tears from a baby and pattering against the floor like rain on a roof. He stretched out a scaled clawed hand to grab...

me but then ....bang I was back in this moment. The scene I had just left hasn't even happened yet - it won't do until tomorrow, so I have time to stop it happening , I can help those poor slaves and prevent their evil master taking control....but how?

I needed time to think...how did the peacefulness of today's world suddenly become such an atrocious place, where the unnameable creature rules and slaves tremble in terror? The worst thing about my curse is that I am not allowed to talk about it with anyone. The only person who knew was my Uncle Tom, he's the one who transmitted the power, and the one who helps me when I have to stop something from happening. What? Did you think I did it all on my own? Uncle Tom has always been there for me.  When there was a problem he would be like, "Nick, what can I help you with this time?".

When I was little he would come to my room and teach me how to control my curse. He would teach me patience and how to control my feelings. Every day he would come into my room with a cup of apple cider and a jar of cookies, he would sit on the side of my bed and urge me to try and control what was happening at the moment, when I managed to do so I got rewarded with a cookie and a sip of apple cider. When training, Uncle Tom and I would get transporting into a totally different world, where we were normal and our powers came to life, it was the future, it was our imagination, it was us. At first, I loved that feeling, but the older I became the more I started not liking that feeling anymore. The future seemed so close, it was, Uncle Tom knew, but it was scary, I wasn't ready for it. Tom would help me keep the secret and answer all of my questions, except one. It has haunted me for years, who did curse Uncle Tom, and therefore me? But when I asked, he would never reply.

…the world was getting too much for me to bear, I felt like I had been thrown in to a bag and shaken. It was a pink version of hell. I had no were to go my life was beginning to crumble before my eyes. I was beginning to question life all together.

A grotesque being sat on a massive throne, snarling his teeth in its open mouth, its skin was like molten rock, eyes like lava pools and clothes like dried robes. I could hear his snarled mouth growled “welcome to my home, HELL!” I slowly backed off only to find…

I stood on the edge of a cliff, bubbling, orange lava behind me. The gravel beneath me began to crumble, I was falling and nothing was going to stop me from burning. I came to a halt when my body slammed against a cold slab. My hands flew to my head, to protect it from the rebound, I looked up and gasped. Before my eyes I could see, the terrible creature slowly turning into a familiar face.

“Uncle Tom!?” I exclaimed, “why are you here? Have you betrayed me?” I must have hit my head harder than I thought. I quickly rose to my feet, my eyes wide. As I tried to come to grips with what was happening, something reached out and grabbed my arm…

When I turned I saw a lava demon. He gripped my arm tightly as I struggled to get free. As he was pulling me down towards the lava I saw a rock demon jump down and punch the lava demon. The lava demon loosened his grip and I saw my chance to get away.

I leaped out of the lava demons grasp and started running.  I tripped on something and as I turned to see what it was and I saw a shimmer of gold. Lying in the dirt I see a golden sword awaiting me. I grabbed it and started back to the fight.

I heard the rock demon shout, "That boy will be mine!" and I saw the rock demon knock out the lava demon. Soon the rock demon started towards me. When he got close enough I swung the sword and chopped him in half. I then harnessed their powers and used it to destroy every demon and monster in the galaxy.

But then I realized it was all just a dream.
