The Story of Emily Price

There once was a girl named Emily Price

Whose eyes were blue and cold as ice.

Emily was no ordinary child,

For she never laughed

And she rarely smiled.

Emily was happiest when on her own

Playing games on her mobile phone

Or games console or computer screen

Or anything that didn’t mean

She had to play with other girls and boys

Who might break her precious toys

She walks around town with a frown on her face

She finds everyone’s personality to be a disgrace

She does not try to seek delight

Every day the thought gives her fright

She sits at home all day long

And hums along to a sorrowful song

Her friends never seem to be around

That might be a cause for her permanent frown

Maybe she tries to seek a happier day

But every way of joy is washed away

Some wonder what is hidden underneath

But all have hope that there is a happy sea

Next day there was a girl sitting on the school stairs

Emily looked at her very closely

The girl asked “What are you doing?”

Emily looked at her again

She was very shy to answer

So she walked away

Feeling sorry that she left

She hopes that she would see the girl again

The same night she had no slumber

She twisted and turned to the sound of thunder

The girl she met stuck in her mind

She hoped the next day she would find

The girl in the same place again

She wanted to see her there and then

So then she asked her brother Bo

She grabbed her beloved phone

She dialled Bo’s number, hopefully he’ll know

There was no answer, so she decided

That she would no longer need to be guided

She was sure that she would find

The girl that was oh so kind

Her twisted grin became even wider

She decided to set her house on fire

Then she could freely walk the streets

She whispered to herself “Then the girl will talk to me!”

The next day the plan would come to life

She was sharper than a knife! Matt- Great Yarmouth High School UK

Though it was beating her heart was stone

Although she had friends she was all alone

As she was dragged through darkness and dismay

Parts of her would fade away

Every day and every night

Blackness surrounded her

Not a ray of light

But in the darkness were sparks of light

She followed them though her stomach was tight

Her happiness was flowing out

She felt if there was not a doubt

The ice of her eyes begun to fade away

As it went from winter to a summer’s day

A shadow stands in front of her eyes

Spreading its wings across the skies

A guardian angel is what she saw

A guide to help her through her flaws

From that day onwards

Her life started going forwards

This was the story of Emily Price

Whose eyes were blue and cold as ice

She was in darkness

But then she found light

Suddenly the light began to fade

As if she was thrown into the shade

She pleaded for help but there was no one in sight

she would be left in the darkness of the night

suddenly she heard a shout

would they be able to help her out?

She was trapped for days and days

So she turned back to her spiteful ways

She decided she would go back to her home town

She walked in with a solemn frown.

She went in search of the friend that was so kind

The girls was always stuck in the back of her mind.

She searched for the girl for hours and hours

The girl was found sitting in a bed of flowers.

She was making a Daisy Chain

Then she walked away after this they would meet again

But no matter what, she felt as if she was in a vice

Would this be the end of Emily Price?
