It was so much fun writing a paragraph today with my daughter via Skype!! We had a great time and I love all of the other Grown Up contributions. It was so exciting being on the 'other end' for once! All of our schools that took part today were fantastic too but I must give a mention to a very special lady, Allison Painich, The schools I work with in Louisiana and New York are supported by a wonderful charity the Carmel Hill Fund. Allison works for the Fund in Louisiana and we have become friends over the years of taking part in the Write Path and other projects. Last week she led the Louisiana schools as they completed some great writing and her enthusiasm was as always wonderful. This week it has been the New York schools turn to take part and Carmel Hill flew Allison to the Big Apple to coordinate things there!! She is indeed in the best style of Live Aid our very own Phil Collins, although much prettier of course!! Thanks to Judy, Tommy and Margie for arranging this, loved seeing some familiar faces in the photos.
Only a few days left until the end of this years Write Path (boooooo!!) and at the end of the week I will be asking you to vote for your favourite Secondary school, Primary school and poetry participants. Just one vote from each school please and no voting for yourself lol! The poll to do this is already open here:
The voting will be open for one week up until the 22nd October and the winners will be announced shortly after. All of the participants are always winners in my eyes but good luck everyone!
Primary day tomorrow is in the hands of my deputy (Carrie my daughter) as I have to work, it does keep the bank manager happy, but I know the day will go smoothly and I'm looking forward to reading the stories tomorrow evening. Have a great day and have fun ;0) .
