Everyone was watching me, as if I was the sun. I looked down at my hands. One normal, one stump. I had to move.

I slithered off to the side with my stumped wrist behind my back.

Remembering that night when I fell off that cliff, in the pitch black at the bottom in the rocks with the zombies coming closer and closer.

Smelling their rotting flesh hearing them screaming at each other and the chomp! CHOMP!

I had been lucky to escape with my life - I'd had to stay quiet and very still behind the rocks . I didn't move - I couldn't move because I'd put my hands out to save me from the fall and one of them was jammed tight between two rocks. All night I could hear the zombies feeding until about 6a.m. it all went quiet & when I cautiously lifted my head above the rocks I saw that all that remained was a few hands & feet strewn on the floor. I had to get away, but how was I going to free myself?

I couldn’t think of anything to do, so I closed my eyes, and waited… After what felt like hours I finally bucked up the courage to open my eyes. As I opened them, I realised where I was. I was in my bedroom, lying on the floor. What a nightmare! I must have fallen asleep after getting to my room. I did feel rather tired, but why this dream? Why zombies?  Why did I have to watch so many innocent people die?  Who was punishing me? Why were they punishing me, what did I do wrong? Maybe I just got a bit paranoid. After all something horrific had happened this weekend, something that is not to be spoken of…

I needed some fresh air so I slowly stood up and went downstairs. I saw my mum asleep on the sofa with her paperwork on the floor. I reached for the door handle, strangely it was warm

I didn’t give it much thought and I pulled down on the handle. As I stepped outside I was blasted with a fiery heat. I smelt the horrible smell of burning flesh, my arm was burnt! I screamed out in pain and terror. The whole neighborhood was on fire! I turned back, I could no longer see the house in the blur of the smoke. I saw a burned crusty foot on the floor, my nightmare was coming true! I felt dizzy from the smoke and must have passed out because it went black.

I woke up to complete blackness, where was I? I heard a groan, could this be another dream? No, this was real, I could feel the pain on my arm. A light flickered to life, there in front of me there was…

A chicken! I started scratching his feathery head. “I’ll call you Noonoo”. The chicken started chasing me down the burnt corridor. I guess he didn’t like his name. I started searching for my mother but as I passed the living room, I heard footsteps. There was a vampire. This was normal for me but what wasn’t was that he had feathers in his mouth…

Next thing I knew, I was running in a room filled with all kinds of tools that can be used against the zombies.  I grabbed a ray gun and pointed it at the zombies.  They immediately turned to dust.  As I ran out of the room, I saw more.  I pointed the gun at them, and they turned to mice.  The mice scattered into a room full of baby zombies.  I filled their bottles with "zombie kill," which I found lying on the ground.  They, too, turned to dust.
