Remember when you were small,

sometimes you would fall

and need a hand

to stand

again?

When you’re big,

You should recall

that helpful hand and ask any, or all,

your friends to help,

just as you would reach out to them

when they need a friend...

when you're big,

you'll dance to a jig

you'll be extremely fickle

and make jam out of a pickle

again

when you're old...

Remember when you were a kid,

All the things you learnt and did -

The life lessons we had

(most were good but some were bad)

Again?

When you’re older

Remember when you were a teenager.

All the laughs and jokes you share

When your older  …

Remember when you were Grown up,

And constantly fed up,

When the Children were running around,

And messing up the ground,

When suddenly they got old,

And pretended they were so bold,

When technology got so advanced,

Life started to prance,

I lost them because of the Phones,

I was left all alone,

Again

When you were elderly...

Remember when you started to wrinkle,
Shrivel up, and crinkle,
The days you cherish have come to an end,
Love letters you used to send,
To your beloved wife,
She had a great, great life,
You’re sadly alone,
In an old people’s home,
The memories you hold,
Some very, very old,
You will keep for forever and always.
But now, life has slipped through the cracks,
All you can do is ‘relax’
Slowly counting to three,
Closing your eyes, you fall into eternity.
