Encouraging links between students and school staff around the globe
Stars
in stretch limo cars
Sip champagne,
Glamorous, though slightly insane
Now they are stalked, and talked about,
As though their secrets are public domain...
Following the stars,
Going so far,
They’re looking down at us,
Causing so much fuss,
We’re yet to discover the truth…
So far up,
Just standing there,
Looking down,
Waiting to be found,
Light reaching so far,
Away we go so clear,so fast,
Still waiting to get there,
It’s so hard to bear..
Tia Sayer, Kerry Legg and Megan Sharp Great Yarmouth High School
Flashing cameras as bright as the flaming sun,
Great performances yet to come.
Everyone desires a glamorous piece of you,
To become a superstar, just like you.
Papparazi hunting you down like a lion on a bull,
Children screaming fiercely while mums try to pull.
Celebritied getting ready in their crowded dressing rooms,
A variety of expensive cloths to choose.
Finally ready for their last breath taking show,
Applauded from head to toe.
Well done to Jasmine, Sophie, Hasan and Prishen from Holy Trinity Primary School in Wimbledon
Lights dazzling in the night
Like a shining knight so bright,
People queuing to see the show,
The acts get ready and here we go,
Nerves are breaking in,
Strong but ready to win,
They will wish upon a shooting star,
For luck in the competition thus far,
Whoosh everyone looks into the velvet sky,
As a shooting star swoops by.
By Grace de Bohun, Jenna Smith and Jake Morris from Bishop's Stortford College
As the lights go down
Curtain rises and stars aglow,
Ready to perform the world’s greatest show
There will be only be one king
Will I get the chance to sing?
I hold my nerves,
Stand brave
Ready to start
There can only be one winner
Jasmine and Alexandria from West Kirby Residential School
