Clouds hide the stars tonight,

Just as my smile, so bright,

Conceals my grieving heart.

Orphaned, bereft,

yet knowing the joy that left

so suddenly

will one day return,

just as clouds move on,

and on,

and on...

The moon is cold tonight

Flitting from sight.

Clouds scutter across boot black sky

And I remember

Remember

The days with you

Sun shone

Bright days

Night came

You left.

Remember...

The stars look down on me tonight,

They hide their sorrow with a glassy twinkle,

As midnight struck,

The stars they remind me of him,

The crinkle in his eyes when he smiles,

The way he chuckles instead of laughs

Every morning he would wake to say

Hello world

Every night Goodbye

He had what he would ever need and want

His power

His strength

His weakness

That’s why he fled

He took flight like the birds in the sky

They swoop

They fly

He’s gone,
Goodbye,
Spreads his wings,
Flies.
The sadness filled my heart with dread,
The last words he ever said
Were “Goodbye my love
The night has come
For me to go,
To leave for now
But forever always
I’ll be in your heart
And for ever always
We’ll never be apart.”

All the memories of him I have,
They are always pure
Nothing I said could have made him stay.
Nothing could give him the cure.
His time was up,
I could do no more.
“I will always remember you,”
That is what I swore.
Broken hearted,
I saw him die,
I will constantly remember,
He will always fly,
Fly to the heaven
Away from the world,
I will always be his little girl.
