2/9/15 Priory School story 16 Alan Gibbons http://www.alangibbons.com

Everybody was excited about the trip to Spain. We hadn't seen my older sister Beth for a month. She was working on the Costa Del Sol for the summer before starting university. The mystery started the moment we arrived at Malaga Airport. Beth wasn't there to meet us. Worse still, when we got to the apartment block where she lived, the caretaker said he hadn't seen her for two days. Suddenly, Mum and Dad were worried. We stood in the street, wondering what had happened to Beth. That's when there was a loud explosion and two masked men ran from the bank next door to the block and jumped on a motorbike. One stuffed a bag into the top box. As the motorbike roared away a photo fluttered from the pocket of one of the men. I picked it up and gasped. The girl in the photo was Beth!

And wondered what could have happened to Beth. We thought that something bad had happened to her because we rang her phone but there was no answer we rang and kept ringing her but there was still no answer after many attempts we rang the police for help.

Later that night we called her again and there was an answer but it was not Beth’s voice it sounded like a scary man’s voice…

Suddenly I heard a knock at the door it sounded like thunder I scurried through the haul, I opened the door to see that it was Beth she was wet and cold we invited her into have a bath because she was dripping wet and it was fogy so when she finished in the bath she had cookies

Staring at Beth wondering what she went through, all of a sudden there was a thud. There Beth laid, a tear trickling down her cheek. Running to her side, I shook her, trying to wake her. I got a shock, as I heard a loud knock echoing around the house. I turned a corner, only to find a black shadowing figure standing outside my door. I could feel myself trembling to the ground, wishing my parents were here. I ran to my room, pulling my sister along the floor. I didn’t have any time to think of anywhere else but under my bed. I didn’t realise my sisters legs were hanging of the bed until it was too late.
