Waking up, sprawled on the roof of a skyscraper, would be enough to make most people freak out. Gazing down eighty floors at the teaming streets of London would be enough of a surprise to make the average teenager's leap. When Deanna Okwuru's eyes fluttered open that Monday morning, she had another shock. As her gaze travelled down her arm, she saw tawny feathers sprouting from her arms, talons curving from her usually manicured fingernails, the shadow of huge wings swaying on the concrete. Her life had taken an extraordinary turn.
Deanna stood up to see strange looking silhouettes, surrounding her like vines wrapping around a tree. Suddenly the figures started closing in on her while more started coming…
“AHHHH!” She screamed at the top of her lungs, as she heard a crack directly underneath her.
“There’s nowhere to hide know” one of the shadowy figures sneered.
She starts trying to fly but her wings don’t seem to work.
‘CRACK’
“Oh no!”
“AHHHHHHHHHH!”
She looked up above her to see a hole in the roof, she had fallen down the eighty story sky scraper…
“HELP!”
She suddenly heard lots of laughing coming from above her.
‘WOOSH’
“AHH”
‘CCRRRRK’
Deanna started to look around her.
She sees the walls cracking open as she fell through more and more story’s until she eventually looks underneath her to see the floor getting closer and closer but she didn’t stop she was now falling under the ground…

As soon as she saw the alien a million thoughts went through her mind: where was she? Who was this thing? Where was the exit? For the alien looked like an intimidating, menacing bully. He (for that is what Deanna though it was) had blue spiky hair, a blobby bloated face that looked like a mashed sewage and clothes that where the same colour as his bright yellow body. It was the most ridiculous image she had seen. Deanna thought of her previous years; if she was a normal school girl, going to school and doing homework, surly she wouldn’t end up with scruffy and ruffled wings? She hit herself on the head. ‘’I’ve done it again, haven’t I…’’

Soon enough the horrible world went dark everything around seemed to be blurry through I tiny slit in her dry eyes she could just make out the silhouette of a bed towering above her. Laying on the floor of the hospital ward she felt a sharp stabbing pain on her head. As she touched it she could feel the lump that had occurred on it. The memories of the night before came flooding back. She had run straight into the tree and must have been concussed. She got up from the floor and realised that the room was dark and misty. Looking around the room for some evidence of what was wrong she lifts up the pillow to find the feather underneath her pillow. She called out for her mum only to see the door closing her away from everyone swing open and in the shock of the moment she saw a bird like figure entering the room approaching her...

Eerie quietness, the squeak of floor boards as heavy feet moved along them “SCREECH” suddenly the space between Deanna and this bird like creature closing in,
The walls getting closer she screams as she feels her back hit the wall, the creature comes into Deanna’s sight and all horror reveals.
A light appears all sound is gone and all thoughts lost into blankness, a white room and a bed, weightlessness… could it be true? Could Deanna be dying?
“DON’T! Don’t do it, STOP!”
“Deanna get down from that ledge” Leanne said watching horrified running towards her
“I saw myself, my true self a despicable creature with wings and sharp jet black claws a yellow stained beak and haunting eyes I’m a freak. I have to do it!” what could she mean was she the horrible creature would she be helping others by bringing herself to an end?

No! This was not the way she would go, but getting off the ledge was next to impossible. The way she had got there in the first place was risky enough. The only way was down. Without waiting for consent she launched herself off the ledge and willed with all her might that death would come quickly, but then the wind rushing past her ears stopped. Deanna opened her eyes and gasped at what she saw, the city below was small and looked like a dolls world. She craned her neck round and saw massive eagle wings sprouting from just below her shoulder blades, they were beating effortlessly, keeping her airborne .She felt like a goddess in the sky, she did not understand how she ended up flying above what appeared to be a small child- like city. But her joy faded away as she saw the shadow of something unspeakable…

The beast was the same beast but from before but the whole army of them. The creature was going straight towards London beaming with anger and laughter. “Hello puny humans we do not come in peace we come to KILL you “Then the army came charging down at them with airplanes destroying everything in its path. Deanna only had one choice and only one option to watch all her city burn before her eyes or destroy the city and her home with the nuke she just had to press the RED BUTTON. Deanna started panicking “ohh what shall I do”. But at the end everything needs to end at one point in time. She was thinking if I press this everything I knew would perish in a split second including the beast…..What would you do?
