Encouraging links between students and school staff around the globe
That's nothing.
Get this:
I'm not pulling your leg
I'm not having you on
It really kicked off
The minute you'd gone
It's a pity you went
And missed the event
We did what we could
To try to prevent it
But you should have seen it
I think that she meant it
I'd tell you, but really
You couldn't invent it
You know what I'm like
I'd misrepresent it
But take it from me,
It was massive, I swear
Shame you missed it
I mean it
You had to be there.
You had to be there
A pity you missed it
I fell down and hit my wrist
After, she helped me up, and then we kissed
You should have seen it
You would have smiled
As I fumbled down
And smacked a child
He started to scream
So I cheered him up
By giving him ice cream
You would have laughed
Until you fell
It’s a pity you missed it
What a shame

Why did you do this to me?
It is hard to lift my spirits,
Now that you turned your back, and left
like I was something that never mattered to you
on any level.
The happy days are vacuumed sucked,
For all eternity.
Robert, International Community school
But you couldn’t have come
Could you?
Since you left me all alone
And for that I can’t forgive you
I now have a hole inside of me
That not even she can replace
As hard as it is to say, you’re gone
I keep my feelings locked in a case
Why would you do such a thing?
Leave me all alone
I would never do something like that to you
Now I feel isolated right down to the bone.
I lost everything when you left
Everything I cared for
You missed the moment a brother should see
My heart is just so tore
I don’t like to talk now
As maybe if I get to close they go away just like you did
She isn’t like that though,
You would have loved her, she loves to kid
It’s a pity you missed such a fortunate event
But for you, I would do it all again
It seems like you’re completely gone
But I know you’re not, Ben.

What did she say?
You said in reply
Are you sure that she meant it
Or did she just lie?
Shut up and I’ll tell you
Just give me a minute
I need to go the loo
And then I will tell it
The second you were gone
Her old man walked in
And just like that
She was obsessed
With the house next door
And a wooden picket fence
But still he saw us
And there was a fuss
For when he came over
There was no four leafed clover
His eyes did not focus
He was clearly drunk
And we did not realise
That he was some junk
He pulled on her arm
But she drew right back
He said that he owned her
She could never look back
Then her husband came in
And stood in front
Whatever you say
She’s not a prostitute
I made her
That makes her mine
But I’ll deal with you
Some other time
But then she said
Very quiet and calm
If you come near me
You’ll come to harm
Then she just
Punched his face
Then walked away
With amazing grace
I know that she meant it
You said with a cry
If he comes back
He will surely die
By Max, Woolmer Hill School, Haslemere, UK
You had to be there
it was so sweet
I wish you saw it
her eyes sparkled in the night
just like a torch
shining so bright
The wind picked up
as it got colder
the wind blew me over
and I hit my head on a rock
and my memories got lost
the only thing I remember
from that night
was I found my four leaf clover.
