Good morning/afternoon all, welcome back to school life if this is your first week back ;0). I've been so pleased to see so many of you sign up to do Write Path this year - if you want to take part and have not yet contacted me we still have some places left so please get in touch via the ning as soon as possible. We have some wonderful authors writing for us as usual , very proud to say they include Darren Shan, Chris Bradford and Alan Gibbons and our poets are great too. Just to confirm events for the two weeks:
4th - 6th October - Secondary story days (age 11 - 13)
7th October - Primary story day (age 10 -11)
8th October - Secondary poetry day (based on National Poetry Day theme of Home)
11th - 13th and 15th October - Secondary story days
14th October - Primary story day
If you would particularly like to be considered for the poetry day please let me know as soon as you can and similarly if there are days you cannot do please tell me sooner rather than later. I can accommodate days but not set times I'm afraid, with all the time zone changes we have to take into account it's not possible to allow everyone to choose their own times.I want to set the timetable on 18/19th September so I will need any requests before then please.
We will be having a video story again, in fact hopefully we will have two one for each week and please do upload as many photos and videos to the site as you can, it's always such fun looking back on these after. On the Forum area of the ning there are now 2 basic guides for primary and secondary participants so do have a look at those and let me know if I've left anything out.
Note for British schools: I will be running the first day of WP from Werneth School in Stockport - if you would like me to visit your school during WP and make it a writing workshop day or just to have all the fun centred on your school please contact me, I am happy to do this at a reduced rate during the event.
Ok that's probably enough for now, don't want to overload you on the first week back! Looking forward to hearing from you all
