Thanks Bev
Is it just me can't see them? I've looked in WP Central's apps and there's no excel document there.

I've used that as a demo start several times. It does tend to catch the children's imagination!!

Hope all goes well. I look forwards to reading some of the stories.

Enjoyed reading through some of the stories whilst I had lunch - what imaginations these young children have!
Found the first comic page... haven't seen any others yet, do I take it that no one has carried the comic on? Had 2 of my little group in at lunch to look at the stories so far too, one of them was practising drawing!
Well done all of you... I imagine it is quite hectic trying to complete it all in an hour!

I think that's the case, no comic continuations yet but one of my lads is working on it tomorrow so that will be good!

What a brilliant time was had by all! Our schools are in the middle of their October holday week so we involved young folk from one of our Chatterbooks Groups. Six girls (in groups of two) each with an adult as a scribe tackled two stories each. At first things were a little slow but by the end the ideas were coming thick and fast and it all the scribes could do to keep up with the momentum. The question at the end was "how soon can we do it again?"

Hi Bev! I have been negotiating with some teachers at my school who are interested in taking part. I will be more confident to give numbers and ages in about a week's time - I only heard of this through your presentation in YSL and am introducing the concept to interested staff. I think I will end up with at least one group of 'gifted' students in the Upper Primary age group - in Australia this is Years 5 & 6. I will get back to you soon. Alinda

I am Head of Information Services at Broughton Anglican College which is about 50km South West of Sydney, Australia. I manage our Information Resource Centre for our Prep - 12 school of 950 students. I also promote the use of ICTs in the curriculum and team-teach with any teacher that asks to fit their class into my schedule for a unit of work - and this keeps me very busy!
I hope to take part in Write Path with a group of students this year to demonstrate so that a whole class might do this next year with their teacher. I usually gather evidence for a "show and tell" of new technologies to present to the staff and this promotes enthusiastic use of these technologies the next year.

That's great news Alinda, glad you enjoyed the presentation! Look forward to hearing from you. Each school is invited to enter a maximum of two groups, one upper primary as you say and one from year 7/8.
