Lillith glared round the room. She ran to the half open door and slammed it back against the wall.

It crashed against the wall and bounced back again but before anyone could do anything she was out and tugging on the heavy front door.

The big door opened too slowly. She was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to make it in time but as soon as it was open wide enough she slid through. Should she shut it? No! there wasn’t time. She leapt down the steps two at a time. ‘Careful,’ she thought. This would not be a good moment to fall!

At the bottom of the steps she paused for a brief moment. What should she do now? Which way would be best?

The door finally gave way, the closet slowly creaked open but there was nothing in there! Strangely a nice calming, tingling noise began, like a flow of water. There were stars hanging off strings and they were spinning around, almost in slow motion. A loud thud broke the calm of the relaxing sounds. I turned around and the window opened, the curtain began flowing through the air. I crept silently to the window and nervously looked out, but nothing was there. I turned around, terrified because something was there ...

...It was a heavily breathing black figure with it's face blacked out. I screamed with horror, shock and fear. What was I to do now? I dodged past the strange figure and sprinted to the front door of the house, I grasped the handle and pulled, but it wouldn't open... I kept on trying, pulling harder each time, Glancing back, I noticed the figure was getting closer and closer and closer, leaving wet, shiny, black foot prints, almost like he was trailing oil. Turning around quickly to face the door, I saw a glistening object out of the corner of my eye, what was it? IT WAS A KEY!

Lilith cautiously turned the key and the door
slowly creaked opened. In front of her was a dark, mysterious hole, suddenly
she felt icy, bony fingers grasp her shoulders. It was the figure!!

‘’you’ll be the key, good luck’’ he slowly
whispered. All in a split second she found herself being hurled into a magical
world of terror and disbelief…

Lillith fell to the ground with a thud and cautiously picked herself up onto her feet. She scanned the terrain. Where was she? A few faint outlines of objects that looked like rocks could be identified. There was no light of any source and Lillith felt terrified. Was she being watched? She didn’t know. A noise startled her in the complete silence. Lillith froze. Was the black figure following her once again? She wanted to get out of the concealed darkness and attempted to, but what way to go! Forward, backwards, left or into the now glowing light???

An odour of rotting corpses lingered in the air. Invading her senses.  Making her wretch.  He eyes vigorously darted from side to side as she gradually crept toward the dim light. Her heart was pounding faster and faster ready to rip out her chest as though she was seconds from death. Breathing became difficult, her lungs refused to take in the sharp frozen air. Her legs buckled underneath her, as she collapsed onto the hard stony earth. Her eyes began to shine ‘no she thought, not now!’ but she was already in a deep sleep already dreaming of a better place.

She was dreaming of a magical path to her home. She walked to the path, and she saw flowers, magical houses, and candy trees in parks filled with candy. Then she saw a dark figure. The dark figure grabbed her hand to destroy Lillith. But, just then a magical wizard separated those two hands apart. The dark figure said, "No sunlight!" He then disappeared. The wizard had a red and black cape. Lillith said, "Thank you for saving me wizard!" Then, the wizard replied, "You're welcome. My name is Max. I am your protector." He continued, "If you want to defeat the dark figure, you need to get the magical and powerful wand." He then flew away. She followed the path and found the wand in a stone. She tried hard and got it out! Then the dark figure came back, and they fought. Lilleth disappered, took her wand, and the dark figure disappeared forever. Lilleth was crowned as queen. When she woke up, was this real or just a dream?
