2/9/15 Priory School story 5 Sally Nicholls

I have a photographic memory. I only have to see something once, and I never forget it.

It’s my party piece. It’s what I always do for school talent shows. I get people from the audience to call out names, dates, strings of numbers, bits of poetry. I write them all on the whiteboard, look at it once, then I get them blindfold me and recite them all back.

It’s something I’ve been able to do all my life. It’s useful for exams, and directions, and shopping lists, although it’s not as useful as people think.

“You should be working for the government or something,” people always said. I just used to laugh.

Until the day I came out of school, and the black car was waiting for me.

A mysterious man came out of the car …

The man shouted, “Follow me to the car!”

As we got into the car the man took ne somewhere and  I saw a giant spider. And I screamed. “Hahahahahahahah!”

The spider made a web and I jumped out of my seat into space, then I went into Mars and I saw an alien that can speak.

As I started to walk away, I had a cold shiver down my back. As I arrived to my Lamborghini, I received a message saying you have purchased a holiday in Miami. The bank went to take out the money but your bank was robbed; please give a statement where we can collect the money. Nikki was shocked, she could not describe how she felt. She got into her car and drove back to her five star hotel which she was staying in and grabbed as much money as she could and went to the airport. She bought the cheapest ticket back to New York. As soon as she landed, she went straight to the bank and gave all of her money to the bank, but the bank said five thousand dollars!! Nikki could not believe how much the holiday cost

Five million dollars!....

“No!” said the bank. “Five thousand dollars.”

I sighed in relief at the payment. Only five thousand…After a while, I then realised how far off I was, that maybe my photographic memory was eventually disintegrating into thin air. Was I losing my memory? I came to a conclusion to ignore the thought of losing my memory and left the bank.

I came up with an idea to take a walk in the park to take my mind off things. As I strolled around the park, I found an interesting piece of artwork that someone had abandoned on the park bench. I decided to take an everlasting picture to remember the piece of art. Taking my phone out of my bag, a stranger charged past and snatched my phone from my grip. After the tragic event, heat broken I went to the nearest Police Station to report the incident that had just occurred. When the Police Officer asked for a statement on what the thief’s appearance was like, I couldn’t recall anything…

I decided to leave it as the Officer kindly told me “Don’t worry. We will soon put them behind bars.” What going to become of  them when they’re caught?
